Terms & Conditions

1. Application of conditions

All estimates, quotations, services and goods supplied by us to customers are subject to these conditions and no variation will apply unless agreed by us in writing.

2. Prices

All prices quoted are EXCLUSIVE OF VAT AND CARRIAGE, which will be added to all invoices at the date of invoice. We reserve the right to alter prices without notice. New prices will always be advised when an order is placed. Unless otherwise stated in writing, all quotations are only valid for 30 days from the date shown on the quotation.

3. Payment

Customers who anticipate purchasing on a regular basis should apply for credit facilities by completing our credit application procedure. Payment other than by credit terms can be made by the following:- a) cash, credit/ debit card b) cheque with order. 3 working days must be allowed after receipt of a cheque by us for its clearance, before the goods will be dispatched.

4. Settlement terms

Without exception invoices originated by us are due for payment NET within 30 days of the date of invoice. No further goods will be supplied to a customer's account should any overdue invoices remain unpaid at the end of the month in which payment is due. The ownership of the goods shall not pass from us to you the customer until we have received payment in full for the goods. We reserve the right to withdraw all credit facilities if payments are not received on time. All debts accrued as a result of the purchase of goods from Telkom International Ltd shall be assigned to HSBC Invoice Finance (UK) Ltd to whom payment must be made.

5. Availability

We aim to maintain stock levels for immediate shipment, but should certain items be out of stock, these will be placed on back order for shipment as soon as stocks arrive. We shall not be liable for the consequences of any delay, for any reason, in fulfilling a customer's order.

6. Loss or damage in transit

We will replace goods which fail to arrive or arrive in damaged condition. All such claims must be made in writing to us within 7 days of despatch, failing which no claim will be entertained by us. For export orders this notification period is extended to 60 days.

7. Defective goods

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the warranty on goods supplied is limited to faulty materials or workmanship and only for a period of 12 months after the date of despatch by us. If goods should prove to be defective, we will arrange for a refund or replacement as requested. No warranty will apply to goods which have been modified or altered in any way, or to defective goods, to which unauthorised repairs have been made. We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense or injury resulting from the defectiveness of the goods.

8. All items are supplied on an as seen basis

In the case of Krone type equipment, we do not warrant any products are of Krone manufacture or are new or that catalogue photographs of such product are of Krone manufacture or are new. We aim to provide products fit for purpose and to provide complete satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied, please inform us immediately and we will arrange for a replacement or refund, as requested.

9. Return of goods

Goods may only be returned to us by prior arrangement. Goods returned for reasons other than being faulty or defective must be unused, in saleable condition, and in the original packing, sent freight paid to us. Such returns will be subject to a 10% handling charge. Goods which have been specially made, modified or purchased for a customer may not be returned for credit. No returned goods will be accepted more than 30 days after the goods were despatched by us (extended to 45 days for export orders) and no credit will be allowed unless supported by our goods return authorisation number.

10. Descriptions

The photographs, dimensions, specifications and type numbers in our catalogue and website are shown only as a guide, and although we will usually supply the exact product shown, we reserve the right on occasions to supply similar items offering the same functions.

11. Accuracy of information

While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information shown in our catalogue and website, we can accept no liability for any loss, damages or injury arising directly or indirectly from any error or omission in such information.

12. Reservation of title

The ownership of the goods shall not pass from us to you the customer until we have received payment in full for the goods.

13. Data Protection Act 1998

Customer Data may be passed to and processed by third parties such as our Invoice Finance Provider. Details of such parties and the information held may be obtained on application.

14. Delivery of goods

Deliveries to UK address are made during the working days between 8am – 5:30pm. The customer is responsible for being present at the delivery address during these times to sign for the goods. If no one is present to accept the goods and re-delivery needs to be arranged, an additional charge for this service will be applied and the customer will be charged. If the customer is not present while the delivery is being made and requests for the items to be left at a designated area than at this point he becomes responsible for the safety of the goods and Telkom International is not responsible for any loss or damage of such items. The customer takes a full responsibility by advising us to leave his order elsewhere without the customer’s signature.
