This unit can be used for two-way communications and provides all test functions normally required for standard lines. The cable tracing kit can perform continuity and polarity checks. The complete kit comprises a Tone Generator (TG4), an Inductive Probe Amplifier (AM4) and a carrying case. All parts can also be ordered separately. An RJ11 or other plugs can be fitted on request.
Tester SA9083		Visual Fault Locator

The SA9083 is a battery powered, multi-range, analogue portable instrument. It is primarily intended for use by faultsmen for maintenance testing of telecommunication lines and equipment, subscribers installations connected to exchanges where faultsmen do not have access to a test desk, or where the testing equipment at the local exchange is not staffed during normal working hours. It has three input terminals, a range selector switch and a dual purpose push-button reversing switch (B-A changeover/test cell). It is supplied complete with a robust carrying case and set of test leads and probes.		Visual Fault Locator is a 6S0nm Laser Source with an output power of 1mW used in SM or MM fibre. AAA batteries support working continually up to 30 hours. The design for the output port is universal and is designed to accept FC, SC and ST connectors.
